Malice's Soul
with him and some very powerful people. I gotta know you’re good with this,” he says firmly.“I love you, Mattox. We have children together. There’s no way in hell I’d walk away from you. Not when you are the other half of my soul.” I reach up and cup the side of his face.
Nodding, Malice reaches up and wraps his hand over the top of mine as he presses his cheek into my palm. “Good, because, for the record, my uncle is in there as well and he may or may not leave this clubhouse. Most likely, he won’t because he’d been behind our kids nearly dying.”
“What?” I ask, tensing at his words. I hadn’t asked him much about what happened with Bambi, but I knew she was dead. He’d told me the smallest amount but didn’t tell me about his uncle.
“I hate talkin’ about my family, so to make a long story short. ‘Cause of them, I pushed you away to protect you. They’re all a part of this organization called the Supreme Masters and they’re responsible for all of my siblings’ deaths. I’m the only one surviving out of all of us and I didn’t want something to happen to you or our kids. Now we need to get in there, get this over with, so we can move on with our evening. I still have plans to finish ravaging that beautiful body of yours.” A blush coats my cheeks at the last of his words.
God knows this man can make me want him even when I should be mad for him not telling me something like this. But I get it. I wouldn’t want to talk about my family if I had his.
Dropping my hand from his cheek, he takes it into his and twines his fingers with mine. He guides me into the clubhouse, where I see immediately that the members of the club are all standing there glaring at the two men who turn in our direction as we come through the door.
“Glad you can join us, Mattox,” one of them states nonchalantly. “Now can you be so kind. I have other business to attend to. Go grab my grandchildren and I’ll be taking them with me.”
“And who says you’ll be taking anyone anywhere?” Malice sneers.
“This letter from the court says that I will be. Those children nearly died because of your neglect and they live in a room here at the clubhouse with you and this trash.” I guess this is Malice’s father. “The court has allowed for me to take custody of them as this place is dangerous for them,” Malice’s father declares.
My body stiffens and I squeeze Malice’s hand.
“I don’t fuckin’ think so. I’m not believing any judge would put a signature on a document without us being spoken to first. You wanna go this route, then I’ll fuckin’ enjoy dragging you through hell,” Malice growls, releasing my hand to step forward. He gets in the other man’s face before speaking again. “We know it was you who tried to kill my kids,” he seethes and turns to his father. “Go ahead and try and take my kids from me because you’ve just started a war and I’m tellin’ you now, it’s a war my club and I will win. Starting now.”
I jump at the scream of agony that Malice’s uncle releases as he staggers back, holding the blade sticking out of his chest. Nausea churns at the sight of the man falling to the floor.
“Told you years ago, I’m not playing games when it comes to my family. The club is my family. Willow is my family. Our kids are my family. Come at me with everything you have and I’ll fuckin’ end you,” Malice snarls, his voice thick with hatred as he glares at his father.
Glancing around the room, I notice none of the women were in here. This is good. They didn’t need to see a man lying on the floor dying.
Sidestepping, I move away from the door and closer to Malice’s brothers. When I’m in reach, Axe wraps an arm around me.
“You’re making a big mistake, Mattox,” Malice’s father says, narrowing his gaze on his son.
“It’s not me making the mistake. That would be you,” Malice retorts.
Slowly backing away, Malice’s father’s gaze comes to me. “Your owner will be pleased to know how you turned out to be a beautiful little cunt. He may still come for you when he finds out. Though I would expect a good punishment for defiling yourself.”
I gasp at his words and narrow my gaze finding the strength with Malice near along with his brothers. “I don’t have an owner. My mother may have tried to do something as vile as give me away to pay her debts; however, she’s dead and no one owns me. I can think and speak for myself. And you’re nothing but a monster in the skin of a person. I hope when your time comes, your death is painful.”
I move my gaze over to Malice to find a brief flicker of amusement before he turns back to his father.
“You can take your brother’s body with you and if you continue this, I will win,” Malice seethes and turns away from his father. He stalks over to me and pulls me into his arms. Lifts me up, so I have to wrap my legs around him as he leaves the room entirely.
Malice carries me to our room and straight to the bathroom. The triplets must be in Gunner’s room with Quinn and Delilah.
Placing me on my feet, he strips the dress from my body and takes my cut to hang up on the back of the door. He puts his next to mine and removes his clothes. Opening the door to the shower, he steps in, pulling me with him. A squeak leaves me when he turns the water on. It’s cold, but I don’t mind so much, not when Malice pushes me against the tile wall, lifts
