Completely Yours (Vicious Snakes MC Book 4)
while others would think that I was sleeping with half the club, even if I see most of them like family. Well, I see everyone but you like family. That didn’t matter. I just got used to being alone. The only real friend I had was Makayla, but then she went off to college and we didn’t get to spend much time together or talk much.”I nod my head in understanding. This is something that the club had thought about lots after she took off. We were scared that someone was going to harm her if they found out who she was, but we still needed to think about the reasons she left. We came to the conclusion that Krista needed breathing room.
“Well you certainly found a life for yourself. I can see how happy you are here. I’m glad you found your way back to the club, but it’s obvious that you belong here,” I say lowly.
“I feel like this is home more than anything. I was lonely at first. It wasn’t until I became friends with Olivia and started hanging around the club that I finally felt a sense of belonging. I honestly tried to keep my distance from them and from a life that revolved around a club, but I found myself drawn back to it. Now, here we are,” she says with a smile.
I tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. “Yeah, here we are. You are amazing and I’m glad that you are giving me a chance to see a side of you that only Pyro and I will ever know about. This means something to me. You mean something to me. No matter how hard I tried to fight it.”
Before she can say anything, I kiss her. It’s not long before she’s melting in my arms and kissing me back.
I grab her around the hips and pick her up so that I can push her against the wall and show her how much she means to me.
This woman owns me.
Chapter Nine
Krista
My friend Makayla texted last night to have coffee. She’s a nurse that I had worked with and hope to work with again. I decide to walk. I know that my men will have a prospect follow me, so I just make my way out the door. The coffee shop is only a few blocks away.
I just need to be sure that we are staying before I ask for my old job back. I know that nurses are short-staffed in this town, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Keeping nurses on staff has always been a problem.
I had given my notice at my other job when I came down here. I told them that it was unlikely I would be back. I don’t think they questioned it because of who I was.
It’s been a week since I had the individual dates with my men, and they were amazing. I got to talk to them and see a side to them that made me fall deeper in love with them.
We are usually attached at the hip together, but Blake has been going into the tattoo shop more and more. I'm very glad that he’s finding his place because I don’t want him to leave.
I see Cutter across the street watching, but I just walk into the coffee shop. I am used to being followed around and usually the guys send a prospect if they can’t come with me, so it isn’t even a bit surprising to see a brother.
I trust their judgement. I see Makayla when I enter, and she waves excitedly at me. I can’t help but laugh. She’s always been an upbeat person, and it was a relief to be around her on those hard days. That woman could never fail to put a smile on my face.
“I got your coffee!” she yells, and it causes a few heads to turn our way.
I chuckle when she blushes. “Thanks darling, I needed this,” I say, blowing it lightly before taking a sip.
“I’m sure you do,” she says with a wink.
I smile at her. “Well, you know those men take a lot of energy out of you.”
She blushes harder. “And I'm sure it helps that they are both so freaking hot.” She throws a hand over her mouth. “I’m sorry, I'm not trying to hit on your men; it’s just something that you can’t help but notice.”
“It’s okay, I know what they look like. You can look, but don’t touch,” I say with a wink so that she doesn’t feel bad.
I know that she’s shy and doesn’t spend much time getting to know people. It’s a wonder that she has let me in.
We talk about everything that I have been up to since Pyro came after me. Makayla looks very interested, but I haven’t been able to get her to come to a BBQ yet. I hope that she will try it out one day soon. I know that the other women would just love her.
We spend so much time catching up that I end up having two coffees. Makayla leaves when she gets a message from her brother.
I take a couple more minutes before I make my way out the door.
It’s mid-afternoon and the sun is high in the sky. It’s still fairly warm, and the street is busy with people working.
I see Makayla across the parking lot talking on her phone in the driver’s seat of her car when I head to mine.
Cutter pulls up with the club SUV looking like he’s in a rush.
“You’re needed at the clubhouse. In. NOW!” He gets louder. I notice that he looks frantic.
I don’t question it since I didn’t drive.
I give one more glance at Makayla and she gives me friendly wave as I climb in behind the driver’s seat.
I
